Yusaku and the 2700km ride

05/08

Our drive to Cairns is full of exciting encounters. This day we met Yusaku, from Japan, on a rest area of Stuart Highway.

Yusaku is heading to Cairns, like us. He is also from Darwin, like us. However, the main difference is that he is riding a bicycle.

Few data to illustrate his situation:

  • Yusaku will cover roughly 2700km from Darwin to Cairns
  • He plans to do the trip within a month
  • This gives an average of 90km per day.
  • There are rest areas, parking or town every 60km on average all along the way.
  • He doesn’t have basic training about riding

If you want to follow up his exploit, feel free to contact me so that I can leave you his email contact.
